Pulling Another All-nighter
Jammin' to ... feelin'

Last night, or this morning I should say, I did not go to bed until well after 4am. You guessed it, I was up all night partying 'till the break of dawn with Oliver and Charlotte, HGTV on the tube and my paint brush. I sanded all the doors on the second floor and painted them white. The trim is white and the doors used to be an awful light tan color. Hooray for matching doors and trim. I started at 10pm and didn't finish for hours because I was only painting during commercial breaks. HGTV has now replaced FoodTV as my favorite network. My next project is replacing the tile accent on the fireplace and painting the mantle white as well. It's currently the aforementioned light tan color. Home improvement rulez.

Hahahaha, I just saw a TBS commercial promoting The Lord of the Rings. "Secret Lovers" by Atlantic Starr is the theme music and features the ambiguously gay duo of Frodo and Sam. Funny.

Back on topic. I am not working on anything right now, but I feel the need to stay up until 4am again. I don't know if I conveyed just how much I value my alone time in the previous entry, but yeah. I'm sacrificing sleep time just so I can enjoy my solitude. Now that's saying something.

A bunch of random thoughts.
Jammin' to ... feelin'

I haven't been this excited for the weekend to come in a long while. What's going on, you ask? Courtside Laker tickets (again heeee)? Nope! Romantic weekend getaway to New York City? Nu uh. Getting a new car?!?!!!?!! NO! What the fuck, just tell us already. Ok, ok. I am looking forward to the weekend because I will have the entire weekend and my entire house ALL TO MYSELF for the first time in months! My sister is going to Norcal for the weekend, the boy will be in San Diego, and I will be all alone, well except for Oliver and Charlotte. You have no idea how much I value what little alone-time I get.

So, as you all know I'm a huge American Idol fan AND I AIN'T ASHAMED! My favorite this year, by far, is Elliott Yamin. Though, because he is not a fake airhead, weird spastic old man, a tall brunette hyena with big boobs, or a 90 year old 16 year old, he probably won't win. He comes off as "boring" to some, I guess. He's fucking talented, though! I also like Taylor Hicks' voice, and he's a nice guy with a great personality, so it would be cool for him to win. Katharine McPhee- I liked her a lot in the beginning but now she just bugs me!! It's one thing to be able to hit high notes, but it doesn't mean it sounds good! She fucking squeals and shatters glass when she belts. Paris is gross and annoying, and makes me feel like taking a shower to clean myself after watching her. Honey, here's a tip. If your armpits are 5 shades darker than your regular skin tone, wear long sleeves.

Oy... 12:35. Last night I went to bed at close to 2am and didn't wake up until 9 this morning. I didn't even get out of bed until 9:30. BAD MAE! I'm beginning to think this is a habit I will not be able to break. Must... try...

The One I Gave My Heart To (video version)
Jammin' to ... feelin'

This song is so pretty. This radio/video version is so much nicer than the CD one. Brings back a lot of memories of my relationship with Jerry. Not bad/sad/bitter by any means. Just... memories. We fought all the time and this was one of the regulars on my "me so sad" playlist. Haha. Among others are:

- My Heart Can't Take Much More by Changing Faces

- The Arms of the One Who Loves You by Xscape

- I Didn't Know Love... by Jocelyn Enriquez

- Even If by Jocelyn Enriquez

- Give Me A Reason (slow version) by Buffy..HAHA!

- Tell Me by Lea Salonga

- How Do You Tell The One... by After 7

Oye... young "love". Makes you do stupid shit, and feel things you think are stronger than they really are.

But anyway. My house is being painted. I just couldn't stand the Certs breath mints textured paint it had any longer. It was off white from far away, but up close it was gray with green and blue specks. They should be finished painting tomorrow, so I have this weekend to clean up ONCE AND FOR ALL! And to finally start hanging my artwork and other wall shit.

I'm rolling around in a base model Toyota Corolla rental car. I wrote about me being rear-ended a couple weeks ago, right? My car is at the body shop and will hopefully be done by Thursday. I wanted to upgrade to a pickup truck just to have something I can lug stuff around in (from Home Depot, etc.) but none available. It was between a Celica and a Corolla. Thinking back the Celica might have been more fun, but the Corolla is surprisingly peppy and a smooth ride. If only it didn't smell like old man cologne.

It's only Tuesday and the work week has been complete shit. We launched a new online store for our franchisees to order from and the programmers didn't do the greatest job on the user registration part. Therefore, it is up to me to answer 160 calls from gym owners wanting me to walk them through the process after I've just explained it in explicit detail over email. Childhood obesity? Fuck that. We need to wage a war against the computer illiteracy epidemic.

My accounting class at UCLA extension starts tomorrow. Hoo-fuckin'-ray. I'm always so gung ho about signing up for classes months before the semester/quarter starts, only to question my decision the night before. I'm hoping that the bus stop is not too far from the building, and that it's not pouring fucking raining again tomorrow night. I've never cursed the weather more than I have in the last month, since I actually have to face it now and don't have a car to hide behind. Right now I'll be wishing for summer to be here already, and when July comes around I will be complaining about the blistering heat. Just warning you!
